Full Bio At a young age Kathy began organizing, rearranging, and doing everything possible to obtain, and maintain, a well-run household, often to the dismay of her family. Although it lasted for only the better part of two days, Kathy, a determined child, would happily start the process again... THE ART OF THE VISIT was in the making.
Now called "Hostess Extraordinaire", Kathy helps people have great times whenever they get together, no matter who is coming... or for how long.
For years Kathy enjoyed entertaining overnight guests at her three homes: one on thirty-seven acres in the peaceful serenity of the mountains where guests visited for leisurely, quiet weekends that included skeet shooting, hiking, and deer and bear watching (yes, really!); one close to the beaches of Florida where sun, sand, and recreational pursuits reign; and one in an historic charming small town in Northern Virginia, close to the nations capital where international friends and family enjoyed visiting and touring the historic sites, as well as the ‘hunt country’ and vineyards of Virginia.
She spent time in the Caribbean at her family's vacation villa where she learned the intricacies of hosting people not only in a foreign land, but who were themselves from around the globe, including dignitaries.
Before launching her writing career, Kathy was the managing partner in a merger & acquisition firm located outside Washington, D.C., where, for over a decade, she was involved in selling privately-held businesses. She has spoken at national trade conferences and has published articles on the subject.
She is a former newspaper lifestyle columnist. Her column was awarded #2 Best Lifestyle Column in a state-wide newspaper competition.
She is a member of the Naples Woman's Club and the former Publicity Chair.
Kathy enjoys life in Naples and Ireland, traveling, playing tennis, and cooking. She is working on her next project, a feature film.
